  • The memory of that piece of pork belly deep fried with 5 spice (from what I can tell) and god knows what other spices was so awesome I knew I just had to visit the stall to taste the nasi lemak for sure ... KYspeaks

  • The accompaniments here are the usual minced pork with shredded black fungus, deep fried ikan bilis, some pork slices and yue wat ( fish paste ), and lots of amaranth vegetables ( yien choy in Cantonese ) instead of cekur manis ( shue tzai choy in Cantonese, mani chai is widely known in East Malaysia and strangely there's no English name given except for its scientific name of sauropus androgynus!   • It was already finished for that day, I chose to try the curry mee as a substitute, and it turned out to be a brilliant accident instead. nothing beats that fragrant sambal and raw cockles While this version at Segambut does not come with porks blood ( otherwise itd be totally perfect ), the chili, soup, and other ingredients did come togetherharmoniously to make a great bowl of curry mee...
