What differentiated her yee sang from all the other yee sangs was the inclusion of fresh vegetables, and particularly in her case, a large fistful of finely shredded spring onions... A Whiff Of Lemongrass

The two desserts, just like everything we had at Elegant Inn, were pretty good too, but by then I was pretty much deep in food coma already ... KYspeaks

It 's interesting to eat the rich flesh deep fried as it leaves an oily mouthfeel but unlike the Empurau fish I felt the balance between the flesh and the omega 3 oil within it to be much more balanced the Empurau felt like it was just oil only ... masak-masak

You can imagine me doing cartwheels, or maybe not,. so on a Tuesday night, dumping my usual family dinner ( sister comes home to eat on Tuesdays, so the house is very festive ), I head for Menara Hap Seng, and find all my FAVOURITTTE people there... fatboybakes

Last but not least, a meal is never complete at Elegant Inn without my favourite dessert, their fluffy Ma Lai Koh or steamed cake... masak-masak

Braised pork shoulder.actually it was a very unique cut, with bits of cartilage on, and utterly melt in the mouth, in a lovely gravy that has simmered with all the chinese new year good stuff, like oysters, etc. See, I told you everyone still looks so good... fatboybakes

Even though you have not tasted the original, this one is almost as good with its creamy golden roe topping thin egg noodle strands that are have a lovely al dente texture... masak-masak

I have had these incredibly rich and irresistible Crab Roe Noodles on a late night in Macau, and I was delighted to find these replicated, but in a finer style at Elegant Inn... The Malaysian Insider
